Werfenweng winter activities
In Werfenweng you can experience the whole variety of winter: skiing and snowboarding in the Werfenweng family ski area or would you prefer cross-country skiing on the sunny high plateau? You can also experience pure winter fun with tobogganing, winter hikes, ice skating or horse-drawn sleigh rides!
With 29 kilometers of pistes with varying degrees of difficulty and 9 lifts, the Werfenweng ski area offers a real winter paradise for all skiing enthusiasts! The excellently groomed pistes and wide runs are ideal for families and vacation guests. Enjoy sporty, fast-paced descents, leisurely waggle down the mountain or let off steam in the snow park. A highlight is the approximately 6-kilometre-long panoramic descent, on which you can glide down around 800 vertical meters into the valley.
Winter mountain lifts in Werfenweng
The majority of the Werfenweng ski area can be easily reached from the center by ski bus (free of charge). You can look forward to fantastic descents at an altitude of 1,830 to 1,000 meters. 17 km of red pistes, 2 km of blue pistes and 3 km of black pistes ensure pure skiing pleasure. Snowboarders and freeskiers can let off steam in the fun park.
The new Dorfbahn cable car makes it possible to reach the ski area directly from the mountain resort - without a car or bus. Just like in summer, it offers a fantastic panorama in winter. As a guest of the aja Bergresort Werfenweng, the Dorfbahn Rosnerköpfl is free of charge for pedestrians and hikers in winter.
The ski area's Kids Snowpark has eight exciting themed runs, a chill-out area and a toboggan run. There is also a covered conveyor belt. In the village center, the children's ski school offers a large children's area as well. In addition to children's conveyor belts and a carousel, there are regular magic shows and other activities.

Winter and snowshoe hikingWhether guided or on your own - explore Werfenweng by foot, even off the slopes. TobogganingHow about a speedy toboggan ride down into the valley? Enjoy a fun toboggan ride - during the day or in the evening on the floodlit run.

ParaglidingIn winter, it is particularly worthwhile to marvel at Werfenweng from above and feel "bird-free". Between December and Easter, the professionals offer tandem flights. Anyone who gets a taste for it can learn to paraglide in Werfenweng. Take-off: the Bischling.
