Experiences and activities
Hiking on Usedom
The island of Usedom offers you numerous opportunities for hiking and walking. You can get active on over 400 km of trails - for example along the cliffs to Koserow; into the Achterland towards Mellenthin or to the small fishing village of Kamminke, which lies on the Szczecin Lagoon.
Profile: Challenging route (up to 38 m above sea level)
Description: Start from the hotel in the direction of "Langer Berg" (54 m high), turn left shortly before into the nature reserve and follow the signposted path to Mümmelkensee. You will pass a viewing platform with a view of the beautiful lake.
You then cross the main road, walk past the Schieferberg (40.7 m high) and the Schmollensee towards Forsthaus Fangel. From there, your tour continues to the two Krebsseen lakes to Neu Sallenthin (from the Krückenberg you have the opportunity to visit the "Sieben-Seen-Blick" viewpoint). The route now takes you back to Bansin village, and then you follow the Fischerweg to the hotel.
Profile: A very pleasant tour (up to 15 m above sea level) with only a few small inclines
Description: The trail takes you from Usedom town (Usedom church, local history museum in Anklamer Tor, Schlossberg and the harbour) through the town forest to Stolpe. In Stolpe, you will pass the medieval fieldstone church and Stolpe Castle.
The trail continues across meadows and fields in the direction of Welzin. If you are lucky, you may also spot local animals (buzzards, seagulls, swans and wild ducks). From Welzin, the path continues in the direction of Ostklüne, but turn right onto the dyke after the cemetery.
Bansin offers a wide range of cycling options. After all, there are around 200 km of cycle paths. Tip: Cycle along the coast to Peenemünde or in the other direction to Ahlbeck, continuing through forests and meadows to the fishing village of Kamminke on the Little Lagoon - a great nature experience! But a trip to the island's hinterland is also always worth it - despite the slight differences in altitude.

Horse riding, carriage and covered wagon rides
Horses and riders alike feel at home in the untouched Usedom countryside. Both enjoy the charming nature of the island and the maritime flair that surrounds Usedom from Ahlbeck to Peenemünde. Kremser and covered wagon rides as well as pony rides are possible close to the hotel. We will be happy to provide you with information at reception and book your (first) riding lesson for you.
Segway tour on Usedom
Experiencing the island in a special way is easy. For example, just hop on a Segway and enjoy a relaxed ride through the villages of Usedom and the Achterland. Thanks to the dynamic stabilization technology, Segways keep their balance all by themselves and are easy to ride. They reach top speeds of up to 20 km/h and the riding is a lot of fun. There are various guided tours: from the coast to Swinemünde and Koserow or the tour around Lake Wolgast and along the Achterwasser. Curious visitors from 15 years up and with at least a moped license are allowed to try out the segways.
Golf & SwinGolf
Korswandt offers an 18-hole golf course - beautifully embedded in the unique nature of the island. Guests can play golf on Usedom in a relaxed atmosphere without having to travel long distances because the course is just a 10-minute drive from our hotel.
Or how about a round of SwinGolf? Unlike conventional golf, the SwinGolf balls are larger, softer, and they even float on water. As it is a simple form of golf, it is ideal for families and promises fun for young and old. Visit the newly created SwinGolf course on the Lieper Winkel peninsula in Reestow, right next to the "Zum Storchennest" vacation resort.
